In the Maison Popineau workshop, we are halfway between an artist's studio and a sewing workshop. By abolishing the boundaries between creative and technical activities, Aurore, Artistic Director of the House, values a global approach and can thus produce exceptional cushions, designer and decorative, with meticulous finishes.
And to never lose this dual requirement, the creations are available in unique pieces or small limited series which are regularly renewed over time. A guarantee for customers to have original decorative cushions, which differentiate from one interior to another.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS: THE CULTURE OF RETAIL
The broken down process of manufacturing a “haute couture” style cushion allows us to understand the creative journey of the Artistic Director, from the first sketches and the preparatory model to the combination of fabrics, including the intermediate exploratory boards, cutting and pinning, then assembly… it’s all in the details.
Manufacturing follows very rigorous technical processes, from cutting to assembly.
The finishes are pushed to the highest standards, in a very “haute couture” spirit. The entire manufacturing phase is controlled and mastered by Aurore who devotes particular attention to it, keen to respect this artisanal spirit which differentiates high quality products from industrial products.
At each stage, particular vigilance is taken to limit fabric waste as much as possible and thus ensure permanent eco-responsible manufacturing. Nothing is lost in Aurore's workshop, any waste finds its place when designing the cushions.
ART AND MATTER
A lover of fabrics, Aurore will make you touch, during a visit to her workshop, rich and varied materials and she will make you feel all the emotions that one can experience when in contact with them. Velvet, satin, denim, moire,… linen, silk, ramie, cashmere,… all have their own sensitivity which inevitably brings us back to a sensation, a memory.

BED CUSHIONS OR SOFA CUSHION, COMFORT ABOVE ALL
To ensure all its cushions have the ultimate comfort that one has the right to expect in order to get the maximum pleasure from them, the House has chosen a feather filling, more soft and comfortable with the guarantee of 100% French origin.
With Maison Popineau you do not choose between the decorative cushion and the comfortable cushion, whatever its shape (square cushion or rectangular cushion) and whatever its format (30x40cm, 35x45cm, 40x40cm, 50x50cm...), each cushion offers both to its owner, with “haute couture” quality as a bonus!
